Zone 34’s  Dance Physiotherapy services is headed up by Nicole Baer and Katie Godwin,  Sports Physiotherapist’s with a special interest in Dance Medicine.

Nicole completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University, and has been working with the Australian Ballet during their Sydney Seasons for the last 12 years.

Nicole has worked with many touring dance and musical theatre companies, and has been the In-House Physiotherapist at Classical Ballet 121.

With over 20 years experience in private practice, Nicole continues to work closely with ballet teachers, doctors and all allied health practitioners to ensure a safe return to all dance forms following injury.

Katie also has an extensive background in working with upcoming and professional dancers.  Along with Nicole she has worked with the Australian Ballet for 10 years, and completed part of her Sports Masters degree at the Australian Ballet in Melbourne.

Katie has worked within Tanya Pearson’s Classical Coaching Academy for many years, and has provided workshops to various dance schools around Sydney on Injury Prevention in Dance.  She currently tutors at Sydney University educating our next generation of Physiotherapists.

Together Nicole and Katie collaborate for enhanced dancer treatment planning, and provide second opinion care for dancers who may be facing hurdles in their rehab.  Their tailor-made injury prevention programs have been adopted by full time dance schools, and higher education institutions across Sydney.

In 2025, Zone 34 have created Injury Prevention Education Workshops for dance teachers.  The aim of these sessions are to better equip dance teachers in their understanding of the growing dancer’s body, how to incorporate injury prevention within their dance schools, and to be able to identify early signs of fatigue and injury.

Ultimately, we believe that empowering teachers empowers dancers. We look forward to working with you.
