Active female life stages

The Zone 34 Method

Our Active Female Hub delivers a comprehensive approach to female health, combining clinical expertise with an understanding of your unique physiology to provide the right support at the exact right time.

Expert diagnosis and collaborative care

We work closely with your broader healthcare team to ensure we communicate effectively with endocrinologists, obstetricians, sports physicians, and general practitioners to deliver a unified approach to your health.

Patient centred goal setting and rehab

Your goals are at the centre of everything we do. We provide seamless, integrated care between disciplines, bringing together the expertise of Exercise Physiologists, Sports Physiotherapists, Women’s Health Physiotherapists, and Accredited Sports Dietitians as appropriate.

Criteria based progression

We are with you for the long haul journey. The Active Female Hub has your back throughout your life journey, using objective milestones to safely progress your rehabilitation, rather than relying on short term fixes.

Multidisciplinary Care for the Female Lifespan

At the Active Female Hub, we bring together a dedicated team of allied health professionals under one roof to provide comprehensive support. Because your biomechanical needs change from adolescence through to menopause, our integrated approach ensures you have the exact clinical expertise required for every stage of your active life.

Sports & Women's Health Physiotherapy

From managing acute sports injuries in developing adolescents to addressing pelvic floor dysfunction and abdominal separation during the perinatal period, our physiotherapists provide targeted care. We deliver specialised manual therapy, pelvic rehabilitation, and movement retraining to keep you moving safely and confidently.

Sports Dietetics

Nutritional needs shift dramatically across the female lifespan. Our sports dietitian delivers expert guidance for performance fuelling in young athletes and manages Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S). We focus on optimising energy availability, bone health, and metabolic function through pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause.

Exercise Physiology

Building and preserving functional capacity is critical at every age. Our exercise physiologists design evidence-based strength and conditioning programs to support adolescent athletic development, facilitate a safe return to impact sports postpartum, and protect muscle tissue and bone density during the hormonal shifts of menopause.

FAQ

Why do adolescent female athletes need specialised care?

Adolescence brings rapid growth, hormonal changes, and shifting biomechanics — all of which affect bone density, movement patterns, and injury risk in ways that differ from adult or male athletes. Generic training advice often overlooks this. Specialised care ensures young female athletes build strong foundations during these critical developmental years, reducing injury risk and supporting safe, long-term participation in sport.

Can I continue my regular sports training while pregnant?

Yes, our multidisciplinary team provides thorough assessments that guide safe exercise progression, running guidance, and strength modifications to help you stay active and strong throughout your pregnancy.

What does postpartum rehabilitation involve?

We focus on safe, progressive returns to movement, addressing pelvic floor function, core strength, and impact loading so you can confidently return to running, lifting, and sport.

How does the clinic help women during perimenopause and menopause?

We offer targeted support from exercise physiology, physiotherapy, and dietetics to help you manage the changes that come with this life stage — protecting bone health, preserving muscle and joint strength, and supporting energy levels, so you can stay active with confidence.

Do you offer a multidisciplinary team approach?

Absolutely, our integrated team includes Sports and Exercise Physiotherapists, Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, Sports Dietitians, and Exercise Physiologists to comprehensively support your goals. Collectively, we work collaboratively with your Health Care Team keeping you heard and informed.
