Whether you are recovering from an ACL or shoulder reconstruction, the process can take many months, and we ensure you have restored adequate neuromuscular control before providing clearance.
Yes, sling or boot duration is dictated by your surgeon’s protocol to ensure adequate protection of the repair during the initial healing phase. For example, wearing a boot to sleep after an Achilles repair prevents overstretching the fresh surgical repair, while a shoulder sling protects delicate reattached tendons.
Surgery provides the mechanical repair, but targeted gym-based rehabilitation builds the functional capacity required to support the joint.
